Yes i have errors and i can post some of my code that i worked to get the word file, its dificul since i dont program a lot in java just lotuscript, javascript a litle to.
well i onnly can read and create a file .doc/.docx but mt error was to write inside it some string/phrase.
I will post soon, i leave a rest a while because now i´m learning were i work smallworld magik programming its diferrent programming like c++ you know gis?

well for now i will return to the POI Vs word.

Even though there are risks (as clearly stated in the article) the masses will still flock to cloud computing. The reason for that is because people are too lazy and cheap to maintain their own equipment. They see cloud computing as an easy way out, regardless of the risks.

Thanks for the quick reply Carlos! I found a way to do it just by changing the editor. I installed JCE and was able to just paste in the image map as hoped. Seems like a more than adequate replacement for TinyMCE. Download it here:

Totally agree with you, this was too much work to get a simple thing like imagemaps to work in joomla.

To be able to paste a hand-coded imagemap into the editor and have it work, you can try two things:
1. disable the "code cleanup" TinyMCE parameter, but I've read this causes other issues for some users.
2. use no editor as your default editor.

Sorry, followed these steps to the letter, both for Tiny 2 and Tiny 3 and couldn't get it. All I want is to be able to paste my own HTML image map, hand-coded myself, into an article in Article Manager, click Save, and have it work. I don't understand why image maps, which have been around since HTML 1 or 2, are so VERY difficult with Joomla. Any other advice appreciated.

Thanks. I've tried but while installing got an error saying few jar files are not copied. Once installed, modified the Eclipse traget as per your blog but unfortunately no notes icon in Eclipse toolbar. Is this tool specific to eclipse version ? I've Eclipse Ganymede 3.4.2. Any idea ?

I was never able to get it to work. I just installed the full featured WAS 7.0.

Anyway I think the problem was that I had to modify other xml files like the standard portlet xml file. This is because I had to play aruond with it afterwards in order to get expose another servlet (Kaptcha) in the same app.

I find gmail to be excellent too, but from my experience most big enterprises want to have their mail in-house and the two products that dominate that market are Exchange and Domino. That might change in the near future though. We will see.

Intresting ? Did you loose it man ? Exchange and Notes are both horrible. Gmail is KING, they follow the KISS principle and it works.
